The Environmental Education for a Sustainable Future Congress, held at Antalya-Kemer Crystal De Luxe Hotel between 10-12 February 2025, brought together representatives from the public, academia, private sector and civil society in order to contribute to the dissemination of environmental education. Organized in collaboration with the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV) and Ankara University Water Management Institute, the congress focused on important topics in line with the goals of increasing environmental awareness and sustainable development.
The congress, which was held for the first time this year, reached a wide audience with the participation of 15 universities, 19 municipalities, numerous primary, secondary and high schools, public and private sector representatives and civil society organizations. The congress addressed critical issues such as climate change, sustainable water management, zero waste practices, local governments' responsibilities regarding the environment and the role of the media in environmental awareness.
The congress also received support from leading organizations operating in the field of environment.
